Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Falah Shidaifat, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Vets Giving Minds Research initiative was launched on Thursday, 2017/3/30. The initiative endeavors to elevate the level of self learning concept to the veterinary students and meet their academic needs at various levels. The initiative launched a website that will serve as a scientific news site that will follow up on all medical research and news that concern the Veterinarians as well as provide scientific advisory services for animals' owners.
The main branch of this initiative is the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Science and Technology which leads several similar branches in the faculties of veterinary medicine in Arab universities, most notably Sadat University in Egypt, An-Najah University in Palestine, Baghdad University in Iraq and Al Hassan Institute in Morocco.
Dr. Shdefat confirmed in his opening speech that faculty supports the Vets Giving Minds initiative towards exploiting youth energies and uniting their efforts to promote Scientific and research concepts minds. As well he stressed on the university's support for continuing education concept and the students volunteer work. In addition, a motivational speech from Dr. Maysir Al Akash was delivered to the students in the initiative. Besides, the initiative leader Hadeel Al - Saqr gave a brief explanation for the objectives and importance of the initiative.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of veterinarian Syndicate Dr. Nabeel Al nobani and many Syndicate members, many faculty members and a large audience of veterinary students.
