The Department of Chemistry held a ceremony honoring Prof. Dr. Rateb Hena after completing his service at the university.  The ceremony was held in the university cafeteria.  The ceremony was sponsored by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Khaled Shawaqfeh.  The ceremony was attended by the Vice Dean, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Omari, the Head of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Dr. Natheer Al-Rawashdeh, and a number of faculty members in the department.  Dr. Hina's colleagues expressed their appreciation for his personality and praise for what he provided to the department and to the university throughout his tenure.​
