Nine teams from the departments of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology participated in the Sumo 2023 competition, which was held at Al Hussein Technical University on Friday and Saturday, from July 14 to 15, in which more than 160 teams from various universities, schools, and technology institutions in the Kingdom participated. The students were creative and showed great skills and outstanding capabilities in the field of programming and design, which led to the teams achieving amazing results. The Jordan University of Science and Technology teams were distinguished by winning first place in the category of best robot programming, and the winning team included Scooby Dooby Do
The student, Lima Hamad, and the student, Malik Salama, won 500 dinars.
And the team got Smash the Potato
In the second place in the same category, the students included Qutaiba Ananza, Khaled Ammoura, and Noureddine Tantawi, and won the amount of 400 dinars.
And the team managed JUST HAWK
Winning third place in the category of best robot design, consisting of students Osama Raafat and Muhammad Al-Youssef, they won 300 dinars.
