As information and communication technology has become a
fundamental pillar in the renaissance and development of society, the
faculty of computer and information technology (CIT) utilizes technology and
innovation in its educational programs, research activities, and social
responsibilities in order to achieve the vision and goals of the university.
The area of information technology has many essential
components: hardware analysis and design, software development and design,
information processing and management, data sciences, extensive data analysis, intelligent
computer systems, the internet of things, multimedia design and development, and
many other theoretical foundations.
The faculty of CIT adopts modern programs, quality of teaching
with constant improvement, good planning, and organization. The faculty guarantees
to satisfy the educational demands of students for up-to-date technical
knowledge and skills. The success in competitions and employment of our
graduates proves our programs' effectiveness. The faculty offers
the following academic programs:
B.Sc. of Computer Engineering – a
five-year program.
B.Sc. of Computer Science – a four-year program.
B.Sc. of Network Engineering and
Security – a five-year program.
B.Sc. of Computer Information
Systems – a four-year program.
B.Sc. of Software Engineering – a
four-year program.
B.Sc. of Cyber Security – a four-year program.
B.Sc. of Artificial Intelligence – a four-year program.
B.Sc. of Data Science – a four-year program.
M.Sc. of Computer Engineering.
M.Sc. of Computer Science.
M.Sc. of
Network Engineering and Security.
M.Sc. of Science in Data Science.
M.Sc. of Health Informatics.
We believe that the knowledge a student gains through formal
education plays a major role in developing the student’s career and shaping
his/her future. What the student learns through education, professional
training, and certificate programs sets his/her path for life. Hence, the faculty
offers its students a great educational opportunity that combines both theory
and practice. At CIT, we provide a healthy environment for innovation through
well-designed graduation project policies and procedures. The sustenance of
student volunteering culture is also promoted through the Programming Innovation
Lab (PIL) to allow students-teaching-students culture. In addition, active
participation in national and international competitions (supported by
international bodies, e.g., IEEE and ACM) are fostered in our faculty to expose
the students to different activities and challenges at an early stage of their
career-building process.
As an essential goal of CIT, prompt employment of our graduates
is achieved by continuous relations with the industry. Contacting our alumni in
different locations improves the chances of our graduates getting training and job
opportunities. Our relationship with the industry is nourished by constant
seminars, training sessions, and tutorials about what skills the current job
market requires. Thus, a clear vision of our graduates is being built on what
to do and how to prepare themselves for the job market before and after
graduation.
The continuous improvement in the curricula, continuous faculty development, quality assurance of course assessment and overall published
materials, faculty infrastructure, and internal regulation have opened more
channels to the students. Such improvement has also been echoed into a higher
QS ranking nationally and internationally, putting CIT in particular and JUST
in general in its earned rank among high-class faculties and universities.
