Cardiology Services

The section includes a 12-bed state of the art coronary care unit. It has a central monitoring station and all the needed monitoring equipment and staffed with highly qualified nursing staff. Cardiac services are comprehensive and provide all the advanced diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures including:

- Cardiac catheterization

- Angioplasty and coronary stents

- Transthoracic and transesophageal ECHO

- Electrocardiogram

- Holter monitor

- 24 blood pressure monitor

- Treadmill Test

- Stress ECHO

- Temporary and permanent pacemaker placement

Nephrology

The hemodialysis unit is one of the most advanced units in the region. It includes 12 stationary computerized dialysis machines and 2 portable ones. The unit provides hemodialysis, hemofiltration, and plasma exchange.

The service provides kidney biopsies, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplant.

Pulmonary

The pulmonary section with its state-of-the-art equipment's provides all the diagnostic and therapeutic services for respiratory illnesses including:

- Pulmonary function tests

- Exercise stress test

- Sleep studies

- Bronchoscopy including transbronchial biopsies and needle biopsies

- Pleural biopsy

Gastroenterology

This section provides all the advanced diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures. It is also equipped with state-of-the-artequipments. It provides the following services:

- Upper and lower GI endoscopy

- Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatic (ERCP)

- Esophageal pH monitoring

- Esophageal manometry

- Anorectal manometry

- Liver biopsy

Allergy & Immunology

Highly qualified team provides a comprehensive evaluation and treatment of all allergy and immune related illnesses. Skin testing for common allergens and immunotherapy is available in the clinic.

Hematology

This section is well equipped to deal with all hematological illnesses from diagnosis to advanced treatment. Acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, and platelets disorders among the illness that are being treated and cured.

Endocrinology

This section provides a wide range of diagnostic test and procedures for all endocrine problems. Needle aspiration, stimulation and suppression tests, and hormones level are available. The section just started a Diabetes Center for northern Jordan.

Rheumatology

This section provides a comprehensive care of patients with various rheumatologic disorders. Joint aspiration,intra-articular injection, and wide range of diagnostic tests are performed.

Medical Intensive Care Unit

This state-of-the-art unit is a 20 bed ICU with 2 isolation rooms. This state-of-the-art ICU is well equipped with advanced monitoring capabilities and the latest generation of mechanical ventilators. It is run by a highly qualified team of physicians and nursing staff. It is capable of handling all critically ill medical patients

Dermatology

This division provides a wide range of services to patients from many parts of Jordan, especially the population of North Jordan. These services are provided by a well -trained staff, 3 full-time specialists and part-time specialists in addition to residents who diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological disorders. The division of dermatology is the main referral dermatology unit for north Jordan.

 The section is distinguished by having the following:

·         Phototherapy unit: This is considered the biggest unit in Jordan with a well-trained staff that serves a large number of patients for many dermatological diseases.

·         The laser unit: For both therapeutic and cosmetic uses, scar treatment, varicose vein, rosacea, moles, nevi.

·         Dermatosurgery (skin cancer removal)

·         Aesthetic procedures: peeling using laser or chemical peels, Microneedling, various injection procedures (mesotherapy, Botulinum toxin and fillers)

·         Hyperhidrosis treatment (iontophoresis or botulinum toxin injection)

·         Minor surgery (Electrocautery, cryosurgery,…)

In the field of teaching, the division participates actively in teaching undergraduate medical students the principles and basic skills in dermatology. The 4-year postgraduate residency program, which is run on a high training level by the division. This makes it a favorite choice for residency training among local and regional graduates​

Palliative care medicine

Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families who are facing problems associated with life-threatening illness. It prevents and relieves suffering through the early identification, correct assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, whether physical, psychosocial or spiritual.

Internal medicine department has an accredited fellowship programs (by the Jordanian ministry of health / Jordanian medical council) in the following subspecialities:
