Internship in Applied Medical Sciences

The Faculty of Applied Medical Science provides students desiring a practical experience with the option to complete an elective internship. Practical internships may be undertaken in a variety of health-related organizations such as hospitals, clinics, extended care facilities, laboratories and research facilities.
Student internships are approved and coordinated by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences Internship Coordinator (Vice Dean), and qualified internship supervisors.
Objectives
Depending on the type of the internship, students will be able to:
Determine what area of health care they wish to work in.
Apply applied medical sciences classroom knowledge and skills to a health care setting.
Evaluate the use of various methodologies and recommend solutions appropriate to clinical or administrative settings.
Strengthen the trainee's competencies, knowledge, attitude, and motivation.

Entry Requirement
The applicant should:
Fill in and complete the application form.
Provide evidence of graduation.
Provide a Health Certificate.
Provide receipt of fees payment.
