Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences

Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences (FAMS), the first and foremost faculty in Jordan and a recognized leader in the region. Established in 2000, FAMS was created to help meet the country's and region's growing need for highly qualified specialists and technicians in alignment with economic modernization vision in Jordan 2030, which including development of high education as both a skill and a culture by updating curricula, strengthening technical and digital education, enhancing faculty member competencies, and aligning educational outcomes with national and international labor-market needs.

Our bachelor programs (Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology and Speech Pathology, Clinical Psychology, Optometry, Paramedics, Radiologic Technology, Anesthesia Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Oral and Dental Health Technician, and Digital Dental Technology) are meticulously designed to align with international standards of excellence in healthcare education. These programs aim to equip graduates with practical clinical skills as well as modern theoretical knowledge, ensuring their readiness to meet the evolving demands of modern healthcare systems in the current digital age.

Moreover, FAMS include unique and high standard master programs in Jordan and in the region (Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Rehabilitation Sciences, and Radiologic Technology). These programs equip students with research competencies, advanced theoretical knowledge, modern clinical skills, critical thinking, leadership abilities, and global standards awareness.

FAMS received several international accreditations and recognitions for their departments and programs such as ASIC, WFOT, WCPT, and AMT. We contribute to the advancement of applied medical sciences and practice through innovative projects and active engagement with the scientific community worldwide. Responsible Conduct of Research is a cornerstone of our mission. We are proud of our caliber faculty, whose high expertise ensures innovative research, high quality teaching, and mentorship.
