Participation in an International Meeting to Support Green Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development
In line with its vision of promoting innovation and building strategic partnerships, the Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by Dr. Yasser Jararweh from the College of Computer and Information Technology, and Mr. Ahmed Hatamleh, Head of the Business Incubator and Industry Linkage Division at the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, participated in an international meeting organized by the University of Oran, Algeria, on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Representatives from Chemnitz University in Germany and Yarmouk University in Jordan also participated.
This meeting was held within the framework of the SAXEED.ECO project, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which focuses on sustainable development and green entrepreneurship. During the meeting, avenues for joint cooperation were discussed, with an agreement to launch an international research project in the field of startups. The meeting also explored opportunities for collaboration within the CBHE, CBVET, and INTERREG MED programs, which aim to enhance vocational training, scientific research, and innovation.
The Jordanian delegation emphasized the importance of these partnerships in enhancing knowledge and technological exchange, in line with the university's strategy to support entrepreneurship and build bridges of cooperation between academic and industrial communities, both locally and internationally, by strengthening its international presence and actively participating in research projects and innovative initiatives that serve sustainable development goals.
