Doctor Alfwaress earned
his doctorate in medical speech pathology from the
University of
Cincinnati, Ohio, USA in 2008. Alfwaress is a certified
Medical Speech Pathologist in Jordan since 2003 and in USA since
2008. Currently, Alfwaress is an associate professor and faculty
member at the speech pathology division, department of
Rehabilitation Sciences/ Allied Medical Sciences/ Jordan
University of Science and Technology.
Doctor Alfwaress had a 24 years of
clinical experience and service provision to individuals with
multitude of speech, voice, and language disorders with main
focus on speech and swallowing disorders among individuals with
stroke and movement disorders.
Doctor Alfwaress had more than 15
publications in peer reviewed journals in the areas of cleft lip
and palate speech, palatal lift prosthesis, normal nasalance
scores, PDNF in stroke victims. Currently working on conversion
aphonia, Correlates of communication disorders of brain tumor,
and norms of acoustical parameters of human voice.
