I am a Full Professor at Jordan University of Science & Technology, specializing in network security. My work focuses on developing innovative security solutions to safeguard digital infrastructures from emerging cyber threats, including DDoS attacks, botnets, and fast flux networks.

About Me

With over 20 years in academia, I have been at the forefront of research and education in network security. I have led various academic departments and research initiatives at JUST, contributing significantly to the field through publications, collaborations, and innovative cybersecurity solutions. My research has addressed critical areas such as DDoS mitigation, botnet detection, and SCADA security.

My research focuses on cybersecurity challenges, with a particular emphasis on network security and critical infrastructure protection.

Enhancing SCADA Cybersecurity in Jordan

SCADA systems are crucial for industrial infrastructure, yet they remain vulnerable to cyberattacks. This research develops AI-driven security mechanisms to detect anomalies and strengthen Jordan’s critical infrastructure against cyber threats.

Detection of Fast Flux Networks

Fast flux networks facilitate cybercriminal activities by rapidly changing DNS records. This research proposes real-time detection frameworks using machine learning and DNS traffic analysis to identify and mitigate these threats.

DDoS Mitigation

Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks are a persistent threat to modern networks. This research explores SDN-based solutions, adaptive filtering techniques, and anomaly-based detection models to enhance resilience against large-scale DDoS attacks.
