Welcome to the Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory (ARM Lab) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology. ARM Laboratory is a specialized research facility for the development of modern and advanced technologies in the field of mechatronics. We aim in the ARM laboratory to conduct qualitative and modern research in the field of robotics and mechatronics to develop innovative and new solutions to complex practical problems, which contributes to enhancing scientific understanding. Specifically, we focus on the application of advanced robotic technology and mechatronics in medical and industrial applications, including minimally invasive surgical interventions, medical imaging, and industrial and medical devices that facilitate people's lives.

  • BioRobotics: Surgical Robotics, Capsule Endoscopy.
  • BioMedical Devices: Rehabilitation Devices, Ankle Foot Orthosis.
  • Human-Machine Interaction: Haptics, Sensors and Actuators.
  • MEMS and NEMS: Microgripper, Micropositioning Systems.
  • Robotics: Path-Planning, Locomotion, Impact Mechanics.

The lab focuses on various areas such as Capsule endoscopy, Continuum Robot, Biomedical Devices, Locomotion Systems and Robotics. The team at the lab utilizes a multidisciplinary approach that combines principles from various fields of science and engineering to create innovative and practical solutions that can be used to improve the healthcare industry. The lab's work in the field of Mechatronics is poised to revolutionize the way we approach medical procedures and diagnosis, making them less invasive and more efficient.
