Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, establishing a strategic partnership to strengthen collaboration in water resources management, applied scientific research, capacity development, policy support, and the implementation of field-based projects. The MoU reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to leverage their academic, technical, and institutional expertise in developing joint programmes and initiatives that address pressing water scarcity and climate change challenges, while promoting the sustainable management of natural resources at both the national and regional levels. The partnership will focus on a wide range of collaborative activities, including conducting joint applied research and studies, producing scientific publications and policy briefs, and advancing cooperation in integrated water resources management (IWRM), the Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus, water diplomacy, climate change adaptation, and sustainable agriculture. Both parties emphasized that this partnership will help bridge scientific research with the practical needs of policymakers and water sector institutions by transforming knowledge and technical expertise into evidence-based solutions and actionable projects.
