Training and Awareness Event at Jordan University of Science and Technology on First Aid and Injury Management

The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), represented by the Department of Emergency Medical Services, organized a training and awareness event entitled “Lifeline” on first aid and injury management. The event aimed to enhance students’ skills in handling emergency situations and improve their preparedness, with the participation of faculty members and students.
The event was inaugurated on behalf of the University President by Professor Bashir Al-Khasawneh, Vice President of the University, in the presence of Professor Saleem Bani Hani, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, along with a number of faculty and administrative staff members and students of the faculty.
The event featured an injury management exhibition that included training stations and practical simulations of various injuries and accidents. Participants received hands-on training in first aid techniques and rapid emergency response procedures in accordance with approved medical protocols.
On the sidelines of the event, a mock injury-response exercise was conducted to enhance awareness of public safety procedures and proper evacuation mechanisms during emergencies. The exercise witnessed strong engagement from students and participants.
This event reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening the practical and applied aspects of student learning and developing their ability to manage various emergency situations, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified professionals equipped with the competence and field experience required in their future careers.
