The President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Professor Khaled El-Salem, honored students selected for the 2026 Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) in recognition of their academic excellence and success in securing prestigious international research placements in Canada.

This recognition follows a notable achievement by the university, with 11 of its students selected for the program—out of 29 students chosen from universities across Jordan.

During the ceremony, El-Salem expressed pride in the university's students, highlighting their continued success on the international stage. He noted that this accomplishment reflects the strength of the university's academic programs and its dynamic, supportive learning environment.

He added that the university remains committed to empowering its students by providing opportunities to engage in global experiences that enhance their research and practical skills, while preparing them to compete in both local and international job markets.

The honored students, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the university's ongoing support, noting that participation in the program marks a significant milestone in their academic and professional journeys. They emphasized that the experience will broaden their perspectives and expose them to cutting-edge research practices.

The program enables students to collaborate with leading universities and research centers in Canada on advanced projects in technology and innovation. It also offers full funding, professional development opportunities, and the chance to build a strong international network.
