Renewal of International Accreditation for the Physical Therapy Program at Jordan University of Science and Technology
The Bachelor’s Degree Program in Physical Therapy at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Jordan University of Science and Technology has been awarded international accreditation by World Physiotherapy for the period (2026–2031), for the second consecutive time. This recognition is granted in accordance with the highest global standards of quality in education and training.
This international accreditation serves as a recognized benchmark for evaluating the quality of physical therapy programs worldwide. It is based on rigorous and comprehensive criteria that encompass all aspects of the educational process, including curriculum quality and relevance of knowledge domains, faculty qualifications, learning environment and facilities, clinical training, and learning outcomes.
This achievement confirms that the program aligns with the latest international standards and best practices, and contributes to preparing highly qualified graduates capable of competing at both the local and international levels.
The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Professor Saleem Bani Hani, emphasized that this accreditation strengthens the faculty’s ongoing pursuit of academic excellence. It also reflects continuous efforts to develop academic programs in line with leading international frameworks, in harmony with the university’s mission of global leadership in education and knowledge production.
For his part, the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Al-Wardat, stated that the renewal of international accreditation for the second time is the result of sustained collective efforts and continuous improvement in modern teaching methods and clinical training. He highlighted the integration of educational outcomes with labor market needs and the advancement of the healthcare sector. He also noted the distinguished academic and administrative environment at the university, which fosters excellence and innovation, as well as the role of student activities and both local and international collaborations and partnerships.
