Patriarch Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa Visits Jordan University of Science and Technology
The President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Professor Khaled El-Salem, received on Sunday His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, along with the Latin Patriarchal Vicar in Jordan, Bishop Iyad Twal, and a number of distinguished clergy. The visit is part of the Cardinal’s official tour of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which includes several religious sites as well as academic and community institutions.
The visit comes within the framework of strengthening dialogue and mutual understanding among cultures and religions. During the meeting, the Cardinal was briefed on the university’s development, its academic achievements, and its leading role in serving both local and regional communities.
Prof. El-Salem emphasized that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, stands as a firmly established model of coexistence and fraternity among the diverse components of society. These values are embodied through mutual respect and a deeply rooted cultural and religious pluralism.
