Workshop for Clinical Instructors Launched at the Center for Continuing Medical Education at Jordan University of Science and Technology
Professor Basheer Khassawneh, Vice President of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), inaugurated today the activities of the Training of Trainer (2) workshop at the Center for Continuing Medical Education, in the presence of a distinguished group of physicians from various medical sectors in the Kingdom, including the Royal Medical Services, the Ministry of Health, and participants from Hebron Polytechnic University.
This workshop comes as part of a series of training sessions aimed at enhancing the teaching and practical training of medical students in their clinical years. It was held at the Faculty of Medicine in the hall of the Center for Continuing Medical Education, which has been equipped by the university with support from the European Union's ERASMUS+ program, representing a significant step forward in supporting the college's educational and training processes.
During the opening ceremony, Professor Khasawneh delivered a speech expressing his pride in this achievement. He emphasized that the university is committed to advancing modern medical education and developing the skills of academic and medical staff in line with international standards through such workshops. He noted that the establishment of this center reflects the university's vision for academic excellence and the integration of education with continuous professional development.
For his part, Professor Firas Qarqaz, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, stated that the establishment of the center underscores the college's commitment to developing the competencies of faculty members in clinical education and modern assessment methods. He explained that the Training of Trainer (2) workshop aims to empower clinical instructors to adopt innovative teaching methods in clinical and interactive training, which will positively impact the quality of medical education and student learning outcomes.
