"Pet Health Awareness Day"

As part of its efforts to raise community awareness about the importance of pet health, the Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized an awareness event titled "Pet Health Awareness Day". The event aimed to enhance awareness of the importance of pet health and the role of pet owners in improving their pets' quality of life.

The event featured the participation of a group of experts and specialists in veterinary medicine, who provided advice and guidance on proper pet care, emphasizing the importance of vaccinations and regular check-ups to maintain their health and safety.

During the event, Professor Myassar Alekish, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, reaffirmed the college's and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital's commitment to providing medical care for pets as part of their academic and humanitarian mission. Dr. Alekish highlighted the college's dedication to preparing qualified veterinary professionals capable of delivering the best healthcare services to animals, emphasizing the essential role of the teaching hospital in offering specialized and therapeutic care for a wide range of pets.

The event's presentations were delivered by Professor Abdul Hakim Al-Jarrah, Veterinarian Raed Ghraibeh, and Veterinarian Ali Freihat, who collectively emphasized that pet care goes beyond luxury to become a significant responsibility for their owners.
