University of Science and Technology launches Global Entrepreneurship Week activities
November 17 /// Today, Sunday, Jordan University of Science and Technology launched the Global Entrepreneurship Week activities, which is a global event that celebrates innovation, creativity and supports entrepreneurs. It aims to stimulate entrepreneurial ideas and transform them into feasible projects, which contributes to strengthening the national economy.
The Vice President of the University, Prof. Muna Abu-Dalo, during her sponsorship of the events on behalf of the President of the University, stressed the importance of entrepreneurship as a fundamental pillar for advancing the national economy and supporting young people to achieve their ambitions, noting that the university always seeks to spread entrepreneurial thinking and entrepreneurial leadership among students, by providing the necessary support for innovative and entrepreneurial ideas and projects in the university community and the local community, in cooperation and integration with the private sector, in an effort to support the economic empowerment of these communities, so that they become able to truly contribute to achieving sustainable development.
The Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, Prof. Muhannad Quwaider, explained that the university seeks, through these activities, to enhance the culture of entrepreneurship among students and encourage them to invest their skills and creativity in developing solutions that serve the community, stressing the university's ongoing commitment to encouraging students' entrepreneurial ideas and urging them to participate in various competitions and events in an effort to develop their entrepreneurial skills and achieve their ambitions. The week's activities include many activities, starting with the opening of the entrepreneurship week and presenting the incubated projects and student projects, in addition to several workshops, including: rapid prototyping and product development, a workshop on the basics of entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights and developing language skills, a specialized training workshop for startups in acceleration programs, in addition to an introduction workshop on data analysis, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, and students will have the opportunity to interact with experts and investors in various fields.
