Renewal of International Accreditation (IET) for the Software Engineering Program


The College of Computer and Information Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology has achieved a new accomplishment by renewing the Software Engineering Program’s international accreditation from the IET, one of the world’s leading bodies in evaluating academic programs. This accreditation reflects the university’s commitment to providing distinguished education that meets the highest international standards and qualifies its graduates to engage in the global labor market effectively.

This accreditation is evidence of the quality of the academic program in software engineering and a guarantee that graduates have a solid knowledge base that enables them to compete globally in advanced technology fields.

The Dean of the College, prof. Munir Bani Yassin, expressed his pride in this achievement, stressing that renewing the IET accreditation represents a major step in academic excellence for the College of Computer and Information Technology and the university in general. He also praised the great efforts made by the academic and administrative staff members in the Software Engineering Department, who contributed effectively to achieving this success.

Dr. Bani Yassin extended special thanks to both Professor Lua'y Alawneh and Professor Raed Shatnawi for their great contributions to this achievement, in addition to the fruitful cooperation of Ms. Rasha Mansour and Engineer Areej Bataineh for their valuable contributions.
