Jordan University of Science and Technology Hold a Medical Day in Al-Taibh District

Saturday, October 29 // The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Jordan University of Science and Technology, in cooperation with the Jordan River Foundation and the Charitable Ambassadors of Giving Organization “NAHNo”implemented a free medical day at the Taibah Young Women Center / Taibah District, on the occasion of the International Month for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The activities of the medical day, which was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nihaya Al-Sheyab, included awareness lectures on the importance of early breast cancer screening, distribution of introductory brochures on the nature of the disease, in addition to blood, dental, hearing and speech tests, awareness lectures in physical therapy and training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Various medical laboratory tests, and examination of basic vital functions such as blood pressure and pulse.

More than 200 person from the local community were also examined, and a list was made of people who need to visit university clinics and specialty clinics to address the abnormalities that were discovered during the examinations, the most important of which are hearing and speech problems, poor vision and tooth decay.
