Information Session about the Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University (USA)
The International Relations Office at JUST hosted an information session about the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program at Stanford University, USA, on Thursday 6/12/2018. Dr. Derrick Bolton, Dean of Admissions at Stanford University, overviewed the vision and mission of the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program, which aims to develop a community of future global leaders to address complex challenges through collaboration and innovation, affirming that the Knight-Hennessy Scholars is the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world. He added that every year, up to 100 high-achieving students from around the world will receive full funding to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford, including a host of Masters and PhD programs, as well as joint- and dual-degrees. Dean Bolton walked students through the eligibility criteria and the online application process, and answered questions from the audience afterwards.
The session was attended by Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Borhan AlBiss, and Director of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center, Prof. Mohammad Alwidyan, in addition to graduate and undergraduate students of JUST
