Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) Hosts a Capacity-Building Workshop within the Healthy Schools National Accreditation Program

Jordan University of Science and Technology hosted an interactive workshop with the aim of building the capacity of schools included in the Healthy Schools National Accreditation Program organized by the Royal Health Awareness Society.

At his office, Prof. Khalid El-Salem, the Vice-President of the University, received the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education – Dr. Mohammed Al-Akur – and the Director General of the Royal Health Awareness Society – Haneen Odeh.

The workshop aims at honoring the schools participating in the Healthy Schools National Accreditation Program at the silver and bronze level. This comes in view of the outstanding effort exerted through the implementation of the program which has achieved a qualitative leap and has become an independent platform that includes a number of programs aiming at reaching a healthy and safe Jordanian society.

The Royal Health Awareness Society is an initiative of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah to increase health awareness and empower the community to follow healthy behaviors. The Association implements developmental programs to meet the needs of the local community in line with the national health priorities, notably the Healthy Schools National Accreditation Program, the Think First Program, the Healthy Kitchen, the Healthy Community Clinic, Youth for Health, and the Generations Protected initiative to protect young people from dangerous behaviors, addiction and other programs that promote the principles of preventive health and establish a healthy and safe Jordanian society.
