A Lecture on Electronic Crimes in Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST)

 The Chancellor of Jordan University of Science and Technology(JUST), Dr. Saeb Khreisat, met today with Ar- Ramtha Police Director Colonel Dr. Jihad Al-Qudah and Col. Dr. Ramzi Al-Dabak, the Head of Criminal Investigation Division in the Northern Region of the Public Security Directorate.

 Dr. Khreisat presented the role of the university in promoting the students' responsibility towards their country in line with the strategic plan of the university emanating from the royal letters of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein in the seventh discussion paper through organizing educational lectures to raise awareness among students.

  Ar-Ramtha police chief Rearadmiral  Dr. Jihad Al-Qudah praised the university administration for its cooperation with the General Security Service and its interest in establishing a true partnership to protect society from crime.

 Moreover, Al Quddah appreciated the role played by the university as a scientific endeavor to enhance the capabilities of the future generation in various knowledge and sciences, and stressed its pioneering role in serving the country and its citizens.

 The Public Relations and Information Unit in cooperation with the Faculty of Science and Arts at the University has organized a lecture entitled Electronic Crimes, in which Dr. Ramzi Al-Dabak, Head of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Northern Region of the Public Security Directorate confirmed that the awareness of users of modern electronic devices and means of social communication is necessary in light of the many casualties Of cybercrime or allow them to be.

Al-Dabbak pointed out that Jordan is the first subject of cybercrime of great importance and the development of the laws necessary to preserve the rights of users of electronic devices and social networking sites and the absence of chaos in this field, where there are more than eight million users in Jordan and more than 9 million used mobile phones. 

 For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, Dr. Qutaiba Khatatba said that this lecture comes within the framework of awareness of university students and provide guidance and guidance necessary for them, enabling this segment of the safe use of this network in a safe and secure.

  At the end of the lecture, there was extensive discussion on a number of inquiries related to the awareness of cybercrime, in which the lecturer answered the students' questions about the most important electronic crimes that occur in society
