The University Explores Collaboration Venues with the Jordanian Pharmacists Association
The Vice President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Khalid El-Salem, received a delegation from the Jordanian Pharmacists Association, headed by the by the Chairman of the Jordanian Pharmacists Association, Dr. Zeid Al-Kilani. During the meeting, current cooperation frameworks with the university, namely, through the Faculty of Pharmacy were discussed along with future collaboration directions. Along those frames, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University will work with the Jordanian Pharmacists Association and provide needed expertise in an effort to boost the Pharmacy profession in Jordan.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Karem Alzoubi, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Sayer Al-azzam, and Dr. Tariq Mukattash, the Coordinator of Community Pharmacy training at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Following the meeting. Dr. Al-Kilani, gave a talk to pharmacy students about pharmacy profession, where he stressed the importance of community pharmacy training for students who are being prepared to be future pharmacists.
The Vice President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Khalid El-Salem, said "there are many opportunities for cooperation between the Jordanian Pharmacists Association and the university, which were discussed in the meeting, as such this collaboration conforms to the university's strategic objectives".
For his part, Prof. Karem Alzoubi, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, indicated that the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University is in continuous contact with the Jordanian Pharmacists Association in an effort to ensure that the faculty's graduates get best possible chances for their career development and to ascertain continued professional development programs for pharmacists in the field.
