KOICA Implements a Workshop on "on 3D Prosthetic Hand' at King Abdullah University Hospital

A specialized workshop on printed artificial handicrafts was organized at King Abdullah University Hospital, organized by The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) in collaboration with Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) the workshop in order to share Mand.ro Company's technology in manufacturing 3D printed.
The Korean delegation started a visit with the President of JUST - Chairman of the Board of Directors of KAUH, Prof. Saeb Khresat. The two Parties discussed ways of collaboration between the university and the hospital and the Korean academic and health sectors.
Prof. Khresat accepted a 3D Printed Prosthetic Hand printer as a donation from KOICA Programs to the hospital; He expressed his thanks and gratitude for the continuous interest shown by the Korean side in supporting the health sector in Jordan.
In his welcoming speech, Deputy CEO of the hospital, Dr. Khaldoon Bashaireh said that the hospital has achieved an outstanding reputation both locally and internationally. He also stated in a brief presentation, the hospital's progress and achievements in the recent period 
Bashaieh added that KAUH is considered as a Leading hospital in the Kingdom due to its commitment to the highest standards of comprehensive health care.
Pointing out that KOICA donated a 3D Printed Prosthetic Hand device to the hospital, which will contribute to alleviating of patients suffering from several injuries.
KOICA's Country Director – Jordan Office, Kim Hyo-Jin said that this workshop is held as part of KOICA Alumni Association's mission to foster culture and knowledge exchange between Jordan and Korea.
Kim hopes that this workshop will reflect positively on local communities, look deep into difficulties that Jordan is facing, and use mutual knowledge and experience to innovate and create new solutions to help shape a brighter future for Jordan.
The President of the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) Bahjat AlAdwan said the importance of holding such meetings aimed to transfer the knowledge of participants in training programs in various sectors and strengthen the network of communication between them.
The CEO of Mand.ro Co. Yi Sang –HO delivered a presentation illustrating Korean Mand.ro Company which is located in Gyeonggi in developed a new prosthetic hand which is the world's first, extremely affordable, light-weight, and fully functional; to improve and provide a better life of amputees. We will keep continuing to bring a new, better life to all the people who lost their hands.
It is worth noting that KOICA is founded in 1991, is a Korean governmental agency that seeks to transfer Korea's experience, knowledge and technology through the granting of aid programmers.
