Cooperation between Jordan University of Technology and the Nigerian Embassy in Amman

Prof. Saeb Khreisat, the President of Jordan University of Science and Technology discussed with Dr. Haruna Oun Guko, the Nigerian Ambassador in Amman aspects of cooperation between the University and the Nigerian Higher Education in a number of Nigerian states. In addition, they discussed ways of deepening the horizons of scientific cooperation such as attracting Nigerian students to study at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the university and the academic cooperation with Nigerian universities.

During the meeting attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Awni Al-Otoum, Prof. Khreisat said that the University has achieved an advanced position in the international rankings among the top 500 universities in the world, according to the classification of the World Times of universities, indicating the most important programs and plans adopted by the University and the great attention given to the quality of graduates and their competencies.  This adds and additional It is responsibility to the university which is  maintaining the level of graduates and paying attention to their academic achievements.

The Nigerian ambassador, on the other hand, praised the distinguished academic and administrative level of the university and the deep relations between Jordan and the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its durability in all fields. He praised the high level of education at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He added that the university has become a destination for higher education both for Arab and foreign students. His Excellency  also praised the level of services and facilities provided by the university to Arab and foreign students in general and Nigerian students in particular.

He also praised the distinguished academic level of the Nigerian students who granduated from the university during the past years mentioning that  most of them are now working in Nigerian hospitals.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Awni Al-Otoum, stressed that the University's interest in its students goes side by side with the University's philosophy of developing the educational and academic aspects and providing the appropriate academic environment for those students during their academic years in the university, in addition to developing their individual skills to be the best ambassadors for their countries. Dr. Al-Otoum Praised the academic level of the Nigerian students and their excellence. He mentioned that the names of five Nigerian students were presented on the list of honor in their faculties.
