The Faculty of Science and Arts honors the Housekeeping Staff at the University
​​The Faculty of Science and Arts at Jordan University of Science and Technology honored the housekeeping staff at the university. The faculty honored the 128 workers due to their efforts in maintaining and cleaning the university.  It is worth mentioning that this initiative is considered the first from its kind at the university level.

The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, Prof. Qutaiba Al-Khatatba said that this honor comes in line with the messages of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Where he has been the first initiator to honor this group of workers due to their great effort in serving our country. He added also that our students must respect and support the housekeeping staff in order to continue their work in the best way.

From his part, the director of the housekeeping department, Engineer Moayed Hourani expressed his pleasure with this initiative, which contributed to draw the smile on the faces of the workers. He also praised the efforts exerted by the Faculty of Science and Arts to cooperate with the housekeeping department in implementing the cleanliness of the campus and organizing the students’ initiatives that raise the morale of the workers and give them the strong motivation to continue their serving in the university.

Mr. Mahmoud Tabishat, from the housekeeping department, delivered a speech on behalf of his colleagues expressing his thanks and gratitude for this generous gesture from the Faculty of Science and Arts represented by its Dean Prof. Qutaiba Al-Khatataba and the Head of the Department of Human Sciences Prof. Adnan Obeidat. In addition, he thanked the teachers and the students of the social responsibility course.

The ceremony, which was patronized by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, Prof. Qutaiba, included some pieces of poetry and drama passages, which expressed the gratefulness and appreciation to the workers presented by the students of the course of social responsibility. The ceremony also included the distribution of the certificates of appreciation and symbolic gifts to these workers.

 This ceremony was attended by the Head of the Humanities Department, Prof. Adnan Obeidat, the assistant dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, Prof. Mohammed Al-Dolaat, and a group of the faculty and the administrative staff in the college.
