Under the patronage of her highness Princess Alia Bint Al-Hussein, both Petra Tourism Development Authorityand the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a free veterinary health week in Petra from 3/4 to 5/4 2018. The activity was financially supported from food and agriculture organization (FAO), Greater Amman Municipality, Jordanian Veterinary Association and SPANA 

Under the supervision of Dr. Sameeh M. Abutarbush, a constellation of the 5th year students clinically examined more than 80 animals (horses and camels). The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Dean, Dr. Falah Shidaifat, said that college is involved in such activities to facilitate delivering faculty services to the local community, acknowledging the veterinary profession and providing students with necessary practical skills.
