Jordan University of Science and Technology Graduates the 31st Class

 

Under the patronage of the Acting President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Dr. Khalid El-Salem, Jordan University of Science and Technology celebrated the graduation of its 31st class - first semester graduates of the academic year 2017/2018. The celebration was attended by the deans, faculty members, and the graduates' families. Dr. Khalid El-Salem said that the university is celebrating the graduation of its 31st class who completed the success stage efficiently to begin their way to practical life. He also clarified that the graduates are now armed with science, aware of the importance of technology and the value of modern technical and applied sciences which have an impact on peoples' lives and progress through communication.

Dr. Khalid El-Salem stated that the university has worked to prepare the young scientific leaders in this country, to invest their energies and creative potentials, and to qualify them academically, educationally and morally. He also added that those graduates are the dream and hope of our country and that they are the symbols of its progress and prosperity.

El-Salem also expressed his sincere congratulations to the graduates of the Arab and foreign countries for this great achievement. He added that the number of the university students is 24 thousand, of which 4500 are students of about 50 nationalities studying in different faculties of the university.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Awni Al-Otoom, stated that the university has taken upon itself to be a beacon of knowledge, a center of cultural radiance and a source of pride for all Jordanians. Al-Otoom said that Jordan University of Science and Technology has won all excellence components since it has distinguished faculty members, supervisors of the highest levels of competence, a team of administrative staff with expertise, and an exceptional infrastructure. All this excellence is not only local, but also regional and international.

The student, Rawan Al- Shalabi, spoke on behalf of the graduates pointing that the university was able to achieve excellence in its different programs, and to support scientific research that aimed at serving the Jordanian and Arab communities. She also stressed the role that faculty members' efforts play in achieving graduates excellence.
