A Memorandum of Understanding Between JUST and Amman Chamber of Industry

JUST and Amman Chamber of Industry  signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday with the aim of encouraging and developing cooperation mechanisms and partnership between the teaching staff, Professors, researchers and students of JUST and the industrial companies and the members of chamber.

The signing took place during a workshop entitled " The Launch of Industrial Innovation Program"  in Amman Chamber of Industry  and was sponsored by the Minister of Education Dr.Adel Al-Towaise  and in the presence of the director of Amman Chamber Dr. Nae'l Al-Hosame  and the General Director of Scientific Research Fund Dr.Abeer Al-Bawab.

The Memorandum  was signed by the university's president Dr.Omar Al-Jarrah and the Chief of Amman Chamber Senate Zyad Al-Hemsee. It  aims at developing  the technical and technological fields of the Jordanian Industry and it is directed to solving  problems of the industrial sector, developing the industrial innovation and creativity and treating Jordanian Industry obstacles to increase the degree of competitiveness.  

Dr. Omar Al-Jarrah pointed that this memorandum emphasizes the importance of connecting universities with the industrial sector and will last for three years as a strategic step towards contributing in the industry's development, increasing the  local value added ,and promoting the national economy by creating an integrated system to direct projects, systems and academic research in order to meet the needs of the industrial sector.

Dr.Al-Jarrah stated that this memorandum is a part of the social responsibility of the university and its desire to activate the partnership with the industrial sector which is considered the main operator of  qualified graduates especially JUST 's students who always prove their ability in the local and regional labor market.

Senate Zyad Al-Hemse pointed that this memorandum is an implementation of his Majesty King Abdullah II's vision for developing the educational sector and establishing a strong partnership with the industrial sector in order to have well qualified and trained graduates who are capable of competing in the local and international markets. Senate Zyad also praised efforts presented by JUST.

The memorandum was signed in the presence of the director of the Consultative Center for Science and Technology Dr.Jaser Mahasneh , the director of the Engineering Workships Unit and the Linking with Industry director Dr.Mahmoud Kdair.
