The Australian Ambassador to Jordan Visits JUST
His Excellency the Australian Ambassador to Jordan Mr. Miles Armitage visited Jordan University of Science and Technology and met with the president of JUST, Prof. Omar Al-Jarrah.
During the Meeting which was attended by the Vice president Prof. Khalid El Salem and the deans of the faculty of Graduate studies and Deanship of Student Affairs, the Ambassador had a brief update by the president on the recent progress of the university and its latest academic accomplishments including the recent achievement by the university in joining the 500 club of top world universities according to the ranking released by Times Higher Education for the year 2017.
The University's president also highlighted the importance of collaborating with Australian Higher Education institutions and the ongoing partnerships that the university has had over the recent years with Australian universities.
On his behalf, H.E Mr. Armitage highlighted the importance in building strong partnerships between Jordanian universities and their Australian counterparts and congratulated the university on its recent achievements and its reputation as a leading academic institution in the region.
The Australian delegation also included Mrs. Anna Fedeles, the deputy Consul General & Trade commissioner to the Australian Trade commission in Dubai.
Mrs. Fedeles explained that there are numerous potential collaboration opportunities that could be established between JUST and their Australian counterparts with emphasis on areas related to health, water technology and computer Sciences.
