Cooperation Between Jordan University of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs
Jordan University of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday that aims at raising the institutional capacity of all municipal employees as well as members of elected municipal councils .
The agreement, signed by Minister of Municipal Affairs H.E.Eng. Walid Masri and University President Prof. Omar Al Jarrah, aims to benefit from human resource experts at the university in developing the skills of municipal employees and members of municipal councils to ensure that municipalities effectively and efficiently perform their functions through conducting training and qualification courses for municipality directors and members of municipality councils as well as for municipality employees in financial, administrative and technical issues such as automation , computerization and E-services.
Al-Jarrah asserted that this agreement comes within the social responsibility of the university and its efforts to serve the local community and providing knowledge and technology to the ministry through training and qualifying its municipal cadres.
