Jordan University of Science and Technology Awards Professor Moh’d Ahmad Al-Nimr the “Distinguished Professor” Rank:
The Council of Deans at Jordan University of Science and Technology has decided to award Professor Moh’d Ahmad Al-Nimr the “Distinguished Professor” rank after fulfilling the rank requirements.  The “Distinguished Professor” rank is awarded based on the valuable and distinguished research achievements during the last ten year before issuing the rank. Professor Moh'd Ahmad Al-Nimr received his Ph.D. (1991) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor - USA. He then joined the faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan, where he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Energy and Thermal Power while conducting research. He has published about 275 articles in different fields of energy (energy storage, generation, conversion, management, saving, renewable, etc.) and in the areas of heat transfer (macro and micro-scale heat transfer, heat transfer in porous media, thermal and hydrodynamics behavior of micro-channels, etc.). He was elected as a TWAS Fellow (2016). He was awarded the World Academy of Sciences Award (TWAS) in Engineering Sciences (2013), the Khalifa Award for Education in the category of Distinguished University Professor in the Field of Scientific Research (2012), the Khwarizmi International Award (2012), King Abdullah II Award for Innovation (2010), Scopus Award for Distinguished Researchers (2009), the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Award for the Distinguished Researchers in Engineering (2006), the Abed-Alhameed Shoman Award for Arab Scientists (1994), the Jordan University of Science and Technology medal for distinguished scientific and academic achievements three times (1997, 2006, 2015), the Hisham Hijjawi Award (2003),  the Ali Mango Award for Distinguished Researcher in Jordan (2012 ), the Khalil Al-Salem - Philadelphia University Award for the best research paper in Renewable Energy (2014)  and many others. He worked many times as an expert in evaluating the EU projects of Tempus, FP7 and Erasmus Mundus programs. He is acting now as an Editor-in-Chief of Energy Conversion and Management  Journal – Elsevier. Besides, he is acting now as an Associate Editor for 12 other journals such as Energy-The International Journal, Int. J. Thermophysics, Jordanian Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, The Open Thermodynamics Journal, Journal of Thermodynamic, International Journal of Engineering and many others. He participated in the international committees of more than 55 international scientific conferences.
