A Team of Purdue Scholars headed by Dr. Jennifer Deboer met with JUST President Prof. Omar AlJarrah to discuss mutual collaboration on projects related to offering distance-learning education in Engineering for Syrian Refugees in Jordan.
The project aims to supply young Syrian refugees with the necessary skills to help them integrate within their host societies that they temporarily live in and to prepare them for building their own economies in post-war Syria.
Following the meeting, Dr Deboer's team visited the phase 1 of the 5 MW Photovoltaic power station at JUST which was recently constructed to support the university's efforts to reduce its energy costs and to create a fully sustainable green campus
