The College of Pharmacy in Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) held a health education day for students at Irbid University College.

On behalf of the president of JUST, Prof. Omar Al-Jarrah, the dean of the faculty of pharmacy, Prof. Karem  Al-Zoubi, sponsored the activities of the educational health day held by "Pharm D towards optimal pharmacological care". This activity served the students at Irbid University College in the presence of the dean of the faculty, Dr. Mofadi Momani and a group of faculty members from both faculties of pharmacy at JUST and Irbid University College.

The activities of the day included educational lectures related to health problems that is common among young women such as acne, obesity, menstrual cycle problems, ovarian cancer, hair loss and how to deal with cosmetics. The lectures prepared and presented by Pharm D students under the supervision of professors at the College of Pharmacy (JUST). In addition, awareness stations for students and employees were provided at which the index of obesity, blood pressure and sugar level measured. Free drug samples provided by Sebamed, Arak Drug Store and Biotechnology Company were distributed. Furthermore, free medical consultations by Dr Rashaa Alshonaq, dermatologist, and Dr. Fadi Shnniqat, gynecologist, were provided.

We would like to mention that "Pharma D Pharmacy towards optimal pharmacological care" has been active and serving the community for six years. Finally, Dr. Al-Zoubi thanks all those who contributed to the success of this activity especially Dr. Nour Al-Sawalha, Dr. Nusaiba Alnemrawi, Dr. Osama  Alshogran, Dr. Tamam  El-Elimat , and Dr. Zainb soboh for their supervision of students and organizing the day. In addition, Dr Al-Zoubi would like to thank the management of Irbid University College represented by the dean of the College, Dr. Mafdi Al Momani
