Dr. Iman Shankiti, World Health Organization (WHO) Representative to Jordan, visited Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) to discuss prospects for cooperation and follow up on successful health and entrepreneurial projects at the university.

During the visit, Dr. Shankiti praised the outcomes of the final evaluation and field tour regarding the accreditation of JUST as a "Health-Promoting University," commending the dedicated efforts in this framework. She also proposed selecting JUST as a leading model for other universities in Jordan and the region, in addition to discussing mechanisms for the university to lead a future project aimed at transforming a northern city into a "Health-Promoting City."

The visit encompassed several key stops, including:

• Faculty of Nursing (WHO Collaborating Centre): Dr. Shankiti met with the academic and administrative staff. Discussions focused on enhancing future cooperation in mental health projects, particularly through utilizing digital communication tools to facilitate access to mental health services for various groups, especially male and female adolescents.

• Center of Excellence: She reviewed prominent entrepreneurial projects and student innovations hosted by the center, praising the level of creative thinking and practical solutions presented by the students.
• King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH): The tour included a visit to the hospital to explore avenues for field collaboration, with a focus on studying the cost and quality development of medical services and procedures provided to citizens.
  This visit underscores the strategic partnership between the World Health Organization and Jordan University of Science and Technology in supporting sustainable national health and research initiatives.
