Jordan University of Science and Technology organized a specialized training workshop on operative clinical skills for medical students
The deanship of student affairs at Jordanian University of Science and Technology, through the Medical Club, organized a specialized training workshop titled Suture & Syringe, that aims to enabling medical students to essential clinical skills through a practical approach that simulates real clinical settings.
The workshop focused on developing the students' skills in several key areas, including wound suturing and knotting, injection techniques and cannulation, as well as safety principles for patients. This was achieved through practical and interactive training that boosts the students' readiness for the upcoming surgical phase with greater confidence and competence.
The theoretical and practical sessions lasted more than four consecutive hours, under the supervision of a selected group of qualified and experienced members of the Medical Club, who have completed advanced training courses in diverse medical fields.
Professor Majed Masadeh, the dean of student affairs, commented on the high level of organization and interaction that the workshop demonstrated, stressing the importance of such practical programs in honing the skills of medical students and boosting their readiness for clinical practice. He also emphasized the consistent support of the university administration for such unique initiatives, which contribute to improving the educational and training process.
