Jordan University of Science and Technology Celebrates World Arabic Language Day
 Jordan University of Science and Technology celebrated World Arabic Language Day through an event organized by the Language Center in cooperation with the Department of Humanities and Basic Scientific Sciences, reaffirming the status of the Arabic language and its pivotal role in strengthening cultural and intellectual identity.

During the celebration, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Darabseh and Professor Dr. Mustafa Hayadrah from Yarmouk University delivered speeches in which they emphasized the importance of the Arabic language and its role in building human civilizations, as it serves as a bridge for communication and cultural exchange among different societies. They also highlighted its significant contributions to reinforcing human values, strengthening national identity, and preserving the nation’s cultural heritage. Both speakers stressed the necessity of encouraging students to be proud of their mother tongue and to develop their linguistic skills.

For his part, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ali Ibnian, Director of the Language Center and Head of the Department of Humanities and Basic Scientific Sciences, affirmed the importance of Arabic language, shedding light on its rich history and the aesthetic qualities that have contributed to refining human taste and to the acquisition of scientific and human knowledge across various fields.

This celebration reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting events and forums that enhance the status of Arabic language, as one of the world’s living global languages.

The event witnessed a notable attendance of faculty and administrative staff, alongside university students, who actively engaged with the event’s themes and praised its cultural and intellectual significance.
