Jordan University of Science and Technology Hosts IEEE EMBS National Day
The College of Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology organized the National Day of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE EMBS), in which the college welcomed academicians and students from different universities and guests from various Jordanian organizations.
In his opening remarks, Dean Prof. Dorid Dalalah highlighted the university’s pride in hosting this event, noting its advanced academic programs, cutting-edge research facilities, and long history of graduating distinguished engineers. He also emphasized JUST’s recent achievement of joining the top 500 universities worldwide, stressing the importance of academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The dean underscored the growing importance of biomedical engineering as a rapidly developing field that bridges engineering, medicine, and the life sciences, and its role in advancing medical technologies and improving healthcare.
The event featured workshops, panel discussions, interactive activities, and student competitions, with participation from national institutions and experts in biomedical engineering.
At the closing, the dean thanked all participants and organizers, with special appreciation to Dr. Alaa Al-Rashdan, Dr. Mohammad Banat, and Dr. Mousa Al-Akhras for their efforts in making the event a success.
