Joint Bachelor's and Master's Programs Between Jordan University of Science and Technology and Temple University (USA)

In a significant step that reflects the strategic direction toward global engagement and academic excellence, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has signed three cooperation agreements with Temple University in Pennsylvania, one of the leading research universities in the United States.

The agreements were signed during an official visit by JUST's delegation to Philadelphia. The signatories were Prof. Khalid El-Salem, President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, and Prof. David Boardman, President of Temple University.

The visit included a series of meetings with deans of medical and engineering colleges, as well as with the leadership of Temple University Hospital, to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The first agreement establishes general cooperation between the universities in research and education.

The second agreement introduces a Dual Bachelor's–Master's degree (DBMD) program, which represents a pioneering model of international academic partnership.

This program enables JUST students to gain a global educational experience by studying for three years at JUST for four-year programs, or four academic years for five-year programs, before joining Temple University to complete two additional years under the (3+2) and (4+2) systems.

Upon completion, students will receive a Bachelor's degree from JUST and a Master's degree from Temple University, enhancing their academic and research competitiveness locally and internationally.

The third agreement establishes a transfer program for undergraduate students. Under this program, students who have completed two years at JUST in four-year programs, or three years in five-year programs, may transfer to Temple University to complete their Bachelor's degree, benefiting from special tuition discounts.

Prof. Khalid El-Salem emphasized that these agreements represent a true realization of the university's vision to internationalize education and provide students with global opportunities. He indicated that the partnership with Temple University is not merely an academic collaboration but an investment in the future of Jordanian youth and the empowerment of their creative potentials.

Meanwhile, Prof. David Boardman expressed his pride in this partnership, affirming that it reflects the strength of JUST's academic programs and Temple University's confidence in JUST's graduates. He added that Temple University looks forward to welcoming JUST's distinguished students who will enrich its academic environment and foster the joint research fields between the two institutions.
