JUST continues its academic excellence…Its students rank among the top Arab competitors in toxicology
A team of students from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) achieved a remarkable milestone by winning fourth place in the “Arab Toxicology Competition”. This achievement came during the team’s first-ever participation in the competition, which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside the international conference “The 6th International Conference, Workshops, and Exhibition on Pharmacy and Toxicology (KSAPT)”, from October 25 to 29, 2025.
The team consisted of three students from the health faculties:
• Ahmad Hamdallah – Faculty of Medicine
• Rand Assaf – Faculty of Pharmacy
• Shifa Al-Sagheer – Faculty of Nursing
under the supervision of Dr. Osama Al-Shuqran from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The competition brought together 27 universities from 12 Arab countries in a dynamic academic atmosphere that showcased the participants’ advanced knowledge in clinical toxicology. The JUST team successfully qualified through the first and second stages held in Dammam, advancing to the final stage in Riyadh, where they achieved an honorable result in their debut appearance.
The competition was organized by the Association of Arab Universities, in cooperation with the Center for Forensic Medical Services and the Saudi Pharmaceutical Association.
JUST’s participation reflects its commitment to empowering students, providing them with opportunities for regional and international competition, enhancing their scientific and research skills, and fostering academic and professional excellence and innovation.
