Dr. Esraa Mustafa Al-Sharoa, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology, received the 2025 IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Africa, and the Middle East) Outstanding Women in Engineering (WIE) Section Volunteer Award during the 125th IEEE Region 8 Committee Meeting held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on October 18, 2025.
This prestigious award is presented in recognition of outstanding female volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service in advancing the goals of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) community within their local Sections. Dr. Al-Sharoa was honored for her exemplary leadership, dedication to empowering women in engineering, and continuous efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion while enhancing the impact of WIE activities within the IEEE Jordan Section, which she represents.
