JUST and Jordanian Design and Development Bureau Sign MoU for Scientific and Research Cooperation
Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Jordanian Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in scientific research, engineering, advanced technology, and manufacturing.
The MoU was signed by JUST President, Prof. Khalid El-Salem, and JODDB Director General, Ret. Maj. Gen. Eng. Ayman Al-Batran. It outlines collaboration in applied research, technology transfer and localization, training, and capacity building. The agreement also grants university students access to JODDB facilities for graduation projects and applied research.
Prof. El-Salem stated that the MoU aligns with the university’s mission to serve the community and foster strategic partnerships with leading national institutions. He highlighted that this collaboration will strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem and provide valuable opportunities for students and faculty to contribute to impactful, real-world projects.
Director General Al-Batran expressed his pride in the partnership, affirming JODDB’s commitment to leveraging its research and manufacturing capabilities in support of joint initiatives. He emphasized the Bureau’s role in advancing national technology and supporting the development of high-tech industries in Jordan.
The agreement covers advanced fields including unmanned aerial systems, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, nanomaterials, rare metal processing, cybersecurity, industrial automation, digital twins, composite materials, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the development of advanced software and algorithms.
