Jordan University of Science and Technology established a cardiac resuscitation center accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Jordan University of Science and Technology opened a cardiac resuscitation center accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, under the patronage of the Vice President of the University, Professor Bashir Khasawneh, In the presence of faculty members in the paramedics specialization, students, and a number of specialists in the health sector. This opening comes within the framework of the university's efforts to enhance medical education and develop the practical training environment in accordance with the highest international standards.

The center aims to train students and workers in the health and non-health sectors on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, life-saving and providing the necessary first aid, which contributes to raising the efficiency of medical personnel, improving educational outcomes, and supporting the university's role in serving the community and the health sector.

The center is distinguished by the fact that all the training courses it offers are accredited by the American Heart Association, the Higher Health Council, the Jordanian Medical Council, and the Jordanian Nursing Council, which enhances the reliability of the training programs and grants participants recognized certificates at the national and international levels.

During the opening, Dr. Khasawneh stressed that the university is continuing to provide an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with the latest global medical developments, noting that the opening of a center accredited by the American Heart Association represents a qualitative leap that will enhance the university's academic and training standing, and qualify students with the practical skills necessary to treat emergency cases and save lives.

For her part, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Professor Nihayat Al-Shayab, explained that the center is the first of its kind at the level of Jordanian universities, and represents a qualitative addition to academic and training programs, stressing that it enhances the readiness of students and workers in the health and non-health sectors to deal with various critical medical cases, and embodies the university's mission of leadership and excellence.

The opening ceremony included a tour of the new center's facilities, and a view of the advanced training devices and equipment it was equipped with, which will support medical training programs and enhance service to the local community and the health sector.
