JUST Launches a Range of New Innovative Academic Programs in Several Colleges
Jordan University of Science and Technology has launched a new set of innovative academic programs in several of its colleges, starting from the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, after obtaining official approvals from the Higher Education Council. This step reflects the university’s commitment to keeping pace with global developments and meeting the needs of the evolving labor market.

University President, Professor Khaled Al-Salem, stated that these programs align with the highest standards of academic quality and have been developed in line with international benchmarks. They embody the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein to enhance Jordan’s position as a leading hub for education and technology in the region, to qualify Jordanian talent to contribute to building a prosperous future, and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Al-Salem pointed out that launching these programs is also in line with the drivers of the Economic Modernization Vision, which focuses on developing higher education to be more aligned with market needs and more supportive of innovation and entrepreneurship, thereby stimulating economic growth and creating quality job opportunities.

He stressed that the university is moving forward with the implementation of its strategic plan to develop its academic programs in a way that ensures graduates possess the skills and competencies needed to keep up with rapid advancements across various sectors and to serve the local and regional community effectively and competently.

The new programs approved by the Higher Education Council include:

Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences

Bachelor’s in Drone Technology (Technical) at the Faculty of Engineering

Bachelor’s in Smart Electrical Systems Technology (Technical) at the Faculty of Engineering

Bachelor’s in Applied Cosmetology at the Faculty of Pharmacy

Bachelor’s in Nanotechnology and Materials Science at the Institute of Nanotechnology

Bachelor’s in Animation and Game Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design

Bachelor’s in Film and Multimedia Technology at the Faculty of Architecture and Design

Master’s in Occupational Therapy at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences

Master’s in Green Hydrogen at the Faculty of Engineering

Master’s in Microbiology and Infection Control at the Faculty of Medicine

Additionally, the Council approved the establishment of a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at the Faculty of Nursing.
