ICICS 2025 Conference Continues at JUST, Bringing Together Global Experts in Emerging Technologies
Irbid, July 2 — The 16th International Conference on Information and Communication Systems (ICICS 2025), hosted by the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), continues today after officially opening yesterday. The two-day event has drawn distinguished researchers and technology experts from around the world to discuss the latest trends in ICT and advanced computing.
In his opening address, Dr. Muneer Bani Yaseen, Dean of the Faculty and Conference Chair, emphasized the university’s pride in hosting such a high-caliber international event. He noted the importance of ICICS as a platform for sharing expertise and discussing breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things, 5G networks, data science, and more.
This year's conference features 100 peer-reviewed research papers, selected for presentation in parallel scientific sessions that include keynote speeches and technical discussions.
Supported by the IEEE Jordan Section, the conference reflects ongoing efforts to foster scientific collaboration and innovation in the ICT sector across the region.
Alongside the main program, the event includes a student graduation project exhibition, showcasing creative and practical solutions developed by students, all reviewed by expert judging panels.
Yesterday’s keynote was delivered by Prof. Mohammad Al-Jarrah, General Manager of MARSRobotics, under the title “Drones: Flying Saviors or Skybound Threats?” His talk examined the evolving use of drones in critical fields like rescue missions and surveillance, while addressing the security and technical challenges that come with their rapid advancement
