JUST Signs MoU with Arab Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs Manufacturing Company (MOBEDCO) to Enhance Pharmacy Training
Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), represented by the Faculty of Pharmacy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, June 23, 2025, with the Arab Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs Manufacturing Company (MOBEDCO). The MoU was signed on behalf of the university by Professor Basheer Khasawneh, the Vice President of JUST, and on behalf of MOBEDCO by Eng. Mohammad Oweis, the General Manager of the company. The signing was attended by Professor Qosay Al-Balas, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Osama Alshogran, Vice Dean for Training Affairs.
The MoU aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing, pharmaceutical biotechnology, vaccines, and related regulatory affairs.
Professor Khasawneh emphasized that this partnership reflects the university's commitment to establishing effective collaborations with industry and to empowering students through high-quality education and hands-on training that aligns with the evolving healthcare landscape. He highlighted the importance of synergy between academic institutions and professional sectors in advancing sustainable development in education and healthcare.
Professor Al-Balas underscored the significance of this collaboration in strengthening the connection between the university and local community institutions, contributing to an exceptional training environment for administrative staff and pharmacy students. He noted that this partnership fosters industry engagement for the academic staff through collaboration with MOBEDCO, which continues to be one of the Faculty of Pharmacy's key industry partners.
This memorandum represents a strategic step toward enhancing joint cooperation in pharmaceutical education and training, contributing to the development of students' skills, expanding their practical experience, and supporting the pharmaceutical sector with highly qualified professionals.
