The Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects Organizes the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum in Jordanian Universities
Professor Ahmad Al-Ajloni, Vice President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology, sponsored the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum, which was organized by the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. The forum was attended by a select group of experts, entrepreneurs, and those interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. The forum was held as part of the Center's responsibility to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among university students and the local community, in cooperation with the Jordanian National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, and with support from UNESCO. The forum aimed to introduce young people to entrepreneurship and showcase inspiring examples of entrepreneurial projects.
The forum included a series of dialogue sessions, starting with a session to discuss the concepts and importance of entrepreneurship in stimulating the economy and enhancing creativity. The session was moderated by Professor Muhannad Quwaider, Director of the Center, with the participation of the university’s entrepreneurship course instructors, Dr. Khaled Al-Shahabat, Dr. Sultan Al-Omari and Dr. Ahmed Ayadat. The second session, moderated by Dr. Wafaa Taan, Deputy Director of the Center, focused on legislation and challenges in entrepreneurship, with the participation of Dr. Khaled Khreisat, Founder and CEO of the JAIP (Joining Academia and Industry) platform; Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Arab University of Amman; and Mr. Amer Al-Latifa, Head of the Company Registration Department at the Companies Control Department. In another axis, the forum highlighted the successful experiences of Jordanian entrepreneurs who graduated from the University of Science and Technology. The session was moderated by Engineer Nidaa Al-Rubai, Head of the Training Division at the Center, and the participants included: Engineer Nour Al-Ajlouni, a community activist who received the King Abdullah II Order of Excellence, Third Class, for the year 2023; Engineer Karim Al-Hamamreh, an expert In design thinking, he holds certificates in entrepreneurship from Cisco and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Center, and Engineer Qusai Mahasis, founder of Synergies, a company specializing in supporting entrepreneurial projects. The speakers provided valuable insights into their experiences in establishing their projects, the challenges they faced, and how to transform creative ideas into successful projects.
Prof. Quwaider explained that organizing this forum aligns with national trends to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, as the university and its partners place great importance on empowering youth and equipping them with the skills necessary to lead economic and knowledge change in Jordan.
