A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between JUST and MENA for Education and Training/ Saudi Arabia

February 26, 2025, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) signed an MOU with MENA for Education and Training/ Saudi Arabia aiming at fostering a collaborative working plan in the medical and health domains. The MOU is written to accomplish the desired health and development goals and promote the contributions of the two parties to staying abreast with scientific and practical development in the medical and health fields.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, Vice President of JUST, and Dr. Saleh AlTwijry, CEO MENA, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mona Abu Dalo/ Vice President of JUST, Prof. Salaheddin Malkawi, Director of the consultative Center at JUST, Dr. Suhaib Al-Omari, Deputy Director CCST, Dr. AlMuthana AlShabeeb, Director General, Deputy Chairman MENA Board of Directors MENA, Prof. AbdulWahab AboDerman, Director, MENA Training Health Sector, Dr. Abdullah Bani Irshaid, Chief Consultant, Business Development MENA and several academic officials from both parties.

The signed MoU dictates that the exchange of expertise and technical support will be provided to enhance human capabilities in the health sector, providing consultations to support health initiatives and enhance the capabilities of health systems and their staff members. Further, the MoU inspires submitting joint proposals to support mutually agreed-on activities and projects to hold customized educational and training workshops in the medical and health fields.

Both parties emphasized that this MoU is part of their endeavors to enhance regional collaboration and benefit from pooled resources and expertise. They also stressed the importance of coordinating efforts to support innovation in the medical and health sectors, through developing tailored training programs, exchanging scientific research and studies, and strengthening partnerships with academic and professional institutions, which will positively reflect on the quality of health services and the efficiency of the cadres working in this vital sector.
